🧩 Role Overview

About the Client:

Our client is an established, family-owned logistics service provider and freight brokerage dedicated to empowering commerce through efficient and innovative supply chain solutions. Built on a foundation of integrity, sustainability, and long-term relationships, they operate as a deeply trusted partner for businesses across multiple sectors.
They pride themselves on a culture of constant communication and total transparency, providing 24/7 round-the-clock service to ensure time-sensitive freight is delivered seamlessly. By blending industry experience with personalized care, they provide an agile, fast-paced environment where employees are empowered to grow and directly contribute to the success of global trade.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and solutions-oriented Bilingual Logistics Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will start with a strong focus on tracking, tracing, and operational execution, with a clear trajectory to advance into a commission-earning Account Manager role.

The ideal candidate possesses exceptional customer service, problem-solving abilities, and a basic foundation in logistics operations. Rather than general freight, this role prioritizes experience in specialized freight sectors, specifically Produce and Open Deck (Oversize, Overweight, and Overwidth) cargo.

🔑 Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level track and trace coverage, ensuring real-time shipment visibility and accurate system updates.
  • Proactively problem-solve operational hurdles during weekend and peak-season shifts to prevent delivery delays.
  • Maintain accurate communication with carriers regarding load specifics, pickup/delivery addresses, and schedule adherence.
  • Learn and adapt to market pricing platforms to effectively quote and negotiate competitive rates with open-deck and produce carriers.
  • Smoothly transition from an internal operations support position to a client-facing account management role based on performance.

🎯 Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bilingual: Fluent in both Spanish and English (Required).
  • Core Experience: 1–2 years of experience in track and trace, logistics coordination, or a freight brokerage setting.
  • Niche Expertise: Proven experience or strong familiarity handling Produce and/or Open Deck (Oversize / Overweight / Overwidth) freight is highly preferred.
  • Competencies: Strong negotiation skills, confident telephone demeanor, and excellent multi-tasking capabilities.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong customer service mentality with the capacity to stay calm and resourceful under high-pressure, peak-season conditions.
  • Systems & Software:
    • Experience with Load Boards (DAT, Truckstop) is strongly preferred.
    • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (specifically Tai Software) is strongly preferred.
    • Experience with 3CX dialer systems is a plus.

Tiered Career Path:

  • Tier C (Entry / Track & Trace): Focuses heavily on track and trace, answering driver calls, verifying pickup details, and providing proactive client updates.
  • Tier B (Operations Specialist): Introduces market-rate quoting, carrier sourcing, and carrier rate negotiations.
  • Tier A / S (Account Manager): Full management of key clients, independent quoting, and carrier book management. At this stage, the role transitions to a Monday–Friday schedule.
