About the role
About Sendmarc
We are a cyber security company that is on a mission to make the internet a safer place. We do this by delivering tooling and services related to an international standard, DMARC. Our technology enables organisations to protect their staff, customers, suppliers, and the whole world from email spoofing and impersonation attacks on their domains.
We’re a fully remote company with the majority of our builders working out of South Africa and sales teams in the Netherlands, the US, Latin America, Australia and the UK.
Why This Role Exists
The mission of this role is to create beautiful and user-friendly interfaces across Sendmarc’s digital products.
Sendmarc ships new capability fast, across a growing set of products and surfaces. This role exists to make sure every feature we ship is clear, consistent, and genuinely easy to use.
You’ll work alongside Sendmarc’s existing product design function, building out the design system that keeps our interfaces consistent as the product surface area grows, and working closely with Product and Engineering to take ideas from concept to shipped feature.
Outcomes
The core outcomes this role is accountable for:
End-to-End Product Design
Design and deliver product experiences that are intuitive, cohesive, and user-centric, communicating design thinking through wireframes, prototypes, sketches, user flows, mockups, and high-fidelity visual designs, and distilling complex problems into systematic, scalable solutions that get refined iteratively.
Usability & Research
Investigate usability pain points and apply UX heuristics to improve clarity and ease of use, and conduct research that informs design decisions, shapes product direction, and surfaces new opportunities.
Design System Ownership
Define, evolve, and maintain Sendmarc’s Design System, keeping the experience consistent and unified across the product ecosystem, and develop the usage guidelines, reusable components, content standards, and usability documentation that let product teams move faster.
Cross-Functional Delivery
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to plan, design, and implement new features, analysing business rules and technical constraints to keep solutions feasible, presenting design work and adjusting it based on feedback, and supporting engineers through delivery with assets, clarifications, and updates.
Competencies

- Experience designing end-to-end product experiences, from wireframes and user flows through high-fidelity UI
- Comfortable distilling complex problems into systematic, scalable design solutions, and refining them iteratively
- Strong grounding in UX heuristics and usability principles, with a track record of removing friction and confusion from an interface
DESIGN SYSTEMS
- Experience defining, evolving, and maintaining a design system: components, usage guidelines, content standards
- Understands how a documented, reusable design system speeds up delivery for the wider product team
COLLABORATION & DELIVERY
- Comfortable working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to plan and ship new features
- Able to translate business rules and technical constraints into feasible, effective design solutions
- Confident presenting design work, gathering feedback, and iterating in response
- Comfortable supporting engineers through delivery with assets, clarifications, and design updates
TOOLS & EXPERIENCE
- Tertiary qualification in Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or a related discipline
- 5+ years hands-on experience designing digital interfaces, preferably for SaaS or B2B products
- Strong proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools
- A portfolio demonstrating practical UX and UI design work
Who We're Looking For
You’re a practical, detail-oriented designer who gets real satisfaction from solving an interface problem cleanly and shipping something people find genuinely easy to use. You communicate design thinking clearly, through wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups, and you’re comfortable working closely with Product and Engineering from early concept through to a shipped feature.
SaaS or B2B product experience is a plus, not a requirement: what matters more is a portfolio that shows sharp thinking and polished execution.
