About the role
Mechanical/HVAC Takeoff Assistant
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday to Friday | US hours
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret mechanical/HVAC construction drawings and blueprints
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for sheet metal, ductwork, and associated piping systems
- Capture granular scope items including air outlets, fire/smoke dampers, and other mechanical components
- Produce accurate material quantities to support estimating and bidding efforts
- Manage takeoffs across multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining consistency and completeness
- Ensure no gaps or missed items in scope coverage
Qualifications
- Proven experience performing mechanical/HVAC takeoffs
- Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical construction drawings
- High attention to detail, particularly in quantity accuracy and scope completeness
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple takeoff assignments independently
Tools and Software
- Experience in estimating/takeoff software (Trimble, Bluebeam, Planswift, etc.)
- Procore or similar project management platforms
